Meeting Minutes –

18 March 2007

The meeting was called to order at 1346 hours by the President, CW2R John Curtis, with members reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The President declared a quorum present.  The meeting was held at the El Conquistador Country Club – Resort & Sunrise Course

Secretary’s Report:  CW3R Michael Turner

            The minutes of the February 2007 meeting were presented previously to the members electronically. A request for clarifications or changes produced none

              A motion was made by CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti to accept the minutes as published.  The motion was seconded by CW3R Gary Huggins.  The motion passed

Treasurer’s Report:  CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti

      1. February 28, 2007

                  Savings Account - $ 5.00

                  Checking Account - $ 3,956.56

      A motion was made by CW3R Michael Turner to accept the February Treasurer’s Reports subject to audit and seconded by CW3R Gary Huggins. The motion passed

President's Report:  CW2R John Curtis

            CW2R John Curtis thanked everyone for attending the 2^nd Annual All Arizona USAWOA meeting, with a personal thank you to our Western Region Deputy Director CW3R Joe Gill, and the President of the Arizona Silver Chapter, CW4R Bill Whealy

            A special Thank You was extended to CW3R Al Price for coordinating the fantastic location for the meeting

1.      CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti provided an update on the golf tournament preparations with a review of the entrants and sponsors

New Business

            None

Good of the Order

            CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti sparked a lively discussion of new member recruiting and some of the reasons why the “new” Warrant Officers do not recognize or know about the efforts of the USAWOA on their behalf

Adjournment:

            CW3R Al Price made a motion that the meeting be adjourned.  There being no discussion, the motion was seconded by CW3R Art Schmidt and passed by the members present at 1421 hours

            The next meeting of the Ft. Lowell-Apache Chapter will be held on 9 April 2007 at the Cattletown Restaurant.  CW4R Harold Lindamood will make the necessary reservations for the group.
