The meeting was called to order at 1245 hours by President, CW5R Baiocchetti, with the pledge of Allegiance. The President declared a quorum was present.  The meeting was held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Officers Club.

President's Report:  CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti

 

            1. CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti welcomed  the attendees to the first All Arizona USAWOA Chapter Meeting and echoed the Western Region Director CW4R Harry Wilson’s remarks

           

            2. A Set of 4 ROTC Medals was sent to CW5 Ray Skinner P.O. Box 215, Sierra Vista, Ariz. 85636, Arizona Silver Chapter. Check for $49.00 was sent to the Treasurer

 

            3. Sent a letter of introduction to Captain Niemela Douglas, Senior ArmyJunior ROTC Instructor at  Cholla High School on March 17, 2006

 

            4. Sent an article to USAWOA – Regarding our chapter ROTC Medals

 

            5. Due to the public nature of the meeting hall (Sunday brunch), normal chapter officers’ reports are deferred until the 8 May 2006 chapter meeting

 

Vice President's Report:  CW3R Ron James

 

            The Vice President was not present to provide his report.

 

Old Business

 

1.      Orders for new Chapter shirts should be in and delivered by April 9^th

2.      Criteria for application for scholarship were developed by Vinnie & Ron, and website created by Mike for on-line applications to be mailed to President’s house.

 

New Business

 

1. GOLF TOURNAMENT- Letters have been sent to 21 organizations asking for their support

 

            2. CW5R Jim Wynne going to Kuwait for 1 year– Involved with HHMV refurbishing

 

            3. E-mail sent out to members regarding the saluting of the flag in civilian clothes

 

Adjournment:

 

     CW3R Joe Gill made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by CW3R Art Schmidt and passed by the members present at 1300 hours.

 

  

The next meeting of the Ft. Lowell-Apache Chapter will be held at 1800 hours at the Michelangelo Restaurant on May 8, 2006.
